We are delighted to be representing Swan of Thames on our brokerage selection of lovely Thames open launches. This 30 ft slipper stern launch from the famous Andrews of Bourne End is a splendid example of its genre and well known to admirers of these elegant sloping stern launches. The present boatbuilder owner has maintained the boat for many years for its previous owner Michael who is now sadly no longer with us and he really loved the Thames often coming up river from his Teddington mooring to enjoy events like the Traditional Boat Festival where he was a regular.

The boat, built of mahogany on oak, bears the hull number 322 having left the yard in 1950. She measures 30ft with a generous beam of 5ft 11ins and sports seating for up to 7 guests including the skipper. As was traditional at the time there are 4 new Lloyd Loom chairs and the aft bench with seat and back cushions for comfort. The boat is driven by a BMC navigator 4 cylinder petrol engine. Included in the inventory is a folding canopy on a sliding rail, a full length cover, ensign, pennant and a chrome spotlight, paddle and boathook. The original Andrews plate is still on the dash which adds considerably to the value.

The current BSS certificate is valid until August 2024. Swan of Thames is available for immediate delivery having been fettled for the 2023 season. Viewing ashore in Hampton by appointment
