Built by Andrews, Bourne End c. 1952 Hull No. 349 Varnished to waterline with a chrome gunwale edge strip and green/gold caveta. Painted Black below the waterline with a Dark Blue boot top.
Engine E39A Ford sv 4 Cylinder petrol by Parsons Engineering. No C4M 6545/3192. Electric start. Instrumentation includes ammeter, water temperature and oil pressure gauges.
General arrangement; Foredeck of 10ft with laid planks, fitted with chrome fairleads, mooring and fender cleats, ventilators, navigation lights and fuel filler to tank below. Double chrome edge hatch to engine compartment. Split windscreen to cockpit 9ft 8in, with new hardwood varnished floorboards. Wheel steering to port with hand throttle and floor gearshift. Quarter shelves to each corner of the forward bulkhead. Seating with four occasional chairs, plus width bench seat aft. Aft deck of laid planks, fitted with chrome mooring cleat, fairleads, navigation lamp and ensign socket. The cockpit is fitted with a pram hood on chrome irons and there is also an all-over cover on removable chrome hoops. Inventory includes automatic bilge pump, fenders, warps, paddle and fire extinguisher.
Summer Madness is emerging in June 2020 for a refurbishment programme and will be available for viewing in July on the mid Thames near Kingston on Thames.
