Featured in Motor Boats Monthly a few years ago and inspected by one of my favourite surveyors in the Thames area this smart Broom 30 has been very well maintained by her current owners and is beautifully presented as they say in estate agent speak. Indeed it has all the comforts of home in a pint sized package with a comfortable saloon, two separate double cabins, two heads, one with shower and one en suite, a galley with new cooker and oven, fridge etc. In fact if you are looking to cruise this summer this could be the boat for you and your family.
The Broom 30 was first built in the late nineteen sixties and over the 15 years to 1980 over 250 left the yard in Brundall, some with twin engine, some with a folding wheelhouse. However Montrose Lady has a fixed wheelhouse and a single Perkins 4107. According to the article the single option is better for river cruising with lower maintenance and fuel costs. Paul the surveyor also reckons that they are excellent value for money with superb handling and masses of room for a comfortable week away. We also have a copy of the original sales leaflet which we can send across.
In this case I think the photos say it all and a viewing on the transferable mid Thames mooring is recommended at your earliest convenience.
