Here at HSC we have known Miffy for many years. She is a useable launch with a surprising amount of room and easy to trail. Viewing is ashore on her trailer at our yard. The photos on our website are recent so you can see exactly what you are getting. This is a venerable old lady, built on the Clyde pre WWII.
Powered by a Morris Vedette engine she is relatively quiet and smooth. The boat has a current BSS.
When I last sold the boat I wrote :
A lovely varnished mahogany open launch which seats six comfortably and would benefit from some seat cushions to complement the solid mahogany seating. The owners had a folding table made which sits above the engine for gastronautical outings. Originally the launch was built on the Clyde as a tender to a Gentleman's yacht. In 2006 she was restored by (the late) Trevor Green who removed fibreglass from the hull above the water line after which the mahogany was brought back to life, restored and revarnished for the present owners who had a riverside house. Ivan from Gmech in Henley on Thames ensured that the Vedette engine was running smoothly and in 2007 fitted a new bilge pump, fuel pump and alternator while renewing the steering cabling and relocating the wheel on the port side. Now we need to add to this that the present owners who bought her at this time have added cushions and kept the boat well maintained. Repaired and revarnished in 2021 by Steve Dennett and recoated regularly since - All in good working order with many engine components recently replaced or serviced (dynamo/ regulator, water impeller, fuel pump, carburettor) 2 covers provided, one full length and one cockpit cover, both easy to mount / unmount on land and water. De Graaf trailer also provided, allowing easy movement and slipping. BSS valid to 2025 Viewing afloat in Henley on Thames by appointment
