Ideal for river cruising, Mary B is a well maintained carvel mahogany river launch built in 1950 by Allday and Austin of Guildford, Surrey as a work boat for the River Wey Conservancy. Over the past three years Mary B has benefitted from new planking in certain areas and new oak frames. A twin axle road trailer, cockpit cover, winter cover and recently replaced upholstery complete the package.
There is seating for eight on board with the helm up forward (as with a slipper launch for example). All fittings are chromed bronze and there is a windscreen which adds to the smart appearance of the launch.
The current owner fitted a Vetus 25 hp 43 cylinder diesel engine in 2015 which has run just 80 hours to date and was serviced when winterised for the 23/24 storage season. The fuel tank sits under the aft deck and holds up to 25 litres. Navigation lights complete the picture.
Antifoul and boottopping refreshed in spring 2024. Viewing at Beale Park boat store by appointment.
