An Andrews Day Launch

Every few years an Andrews Day Launch comes onto the market, and this one is a really first rate example of the genre full of original period detail. Glenelg has been cared for during the long enthusiastic ownership of its current owners, first by Colin Henwood and then by Henwood and Dean's new owners who have lavished their customary care on her each winter. She is fully equipped with heads under the aft cockpit, small galley with sink and two side bunks/sofas in the saloon which opens into the forward cockpit with its neat lloyd loom chairs and traditional seagrass matting. The TVBC plate sits alongside the polished chrome Andrews badge with the build number clearly visible. There are covers for the forward and aft cockpits as well as a frame for a forward canopy which could be added once removed from storage where it has lain for a while. The current owners have owned Glenelg for 26 years and have preferred to use the boat open over the forward cockpit.

Tim O'Keefe has recently got in touch to say that he recognised Glenelg as being in fact Kingswood, rebuilt in its entirety by his yard in the 1990s for a discerning couple.
