Adirondacks first came to the yard for antifouling and has just returned on her trailer as the owner has decided to sell having owned the boat for six years. During his ownership she has overwintered ashore and been regularly maintained with the BSS certificate valid through to 2026.
This is a perfect day boat for the Thames or any lake or river and could have a larger outboard fitted if more power were required (eg. in a tidal estuary). Built by Liberty boats in the Netherlands essentially for canal use this kind of boat is known as a sloep and is a traditional Dutch design with the typical rope fendering on a mock clinker hull. Cleverly concealed below the aft deck is a Tohatsu 8 hp outboard with a battery on the port side and a removable petrol tank.
The boat can be used entirely open or with the forward canopy in situ thanks to the two transparent plastic windows. To close up one simply attaches an aft tonneau. Under the forward deck there is a useful compartment for canopy storage when not in use.
There is a set of 10 fitted burgundy cushions in the same fabric as the cover. A set of fenders and ropes are included as is the two wheeled storage trailer.
If you are Thames based and would like to take over the mooring in Goring on Thames this is an unmissable opportunity as moorings are a rare commodity on this reach of the Thames and very convenient for any resident of Goring or Streatley.
