Swift – A Contemporary Classic with Timeless Style

This elegant off-white Windermere launch is a stunning example of a modern classic—graceful, quiet, and meticulously built using strip cedar planking bonded with epoxy resin. The result is a lightweight yet exceptionally strong hull, echoing the construction methods used in the renowned Spirit of Suffolk sailing yachts.

Inspired by Bat, a Victorian launch once displayed at the Windermere Jetty Museum, Swift takes this heritage and reinterprets it through a minimalist, almost zen-like lens. This updated, all-electric version was unveiled at the 2018 London Boat Show, fitted with a powerful 4kW inboard electric motor by Henley Technical Services. She has been carefully maintained to a high standard and is offered for sale in excellent condition, complete with a smart set of fitted cushions.

Thoughtfully Designed for Comfort and Sociability

Developed in collaboration with HSC, the redesigned Windermere launch places a strong emphasis on space, stability, and onboard comfort. Two extra feet were added to the original length, allowing for a central helm console with a Lloyd Loom chair—offering both back support and easy movement.

Guests are well accommodated with additional seating at the bow and stern, with the option of a movable table at either end (or both), making this a particularly sociable layout. The helmsman sits amidships, surrounded by guests—perfect for entertaining or even for a refined 10-person charter experience.

Elegant Craftsmanship with British Character

The "spirit of tradition" construction offers the best of both worlds: lighter than a comparable GRP (fibreglass) hull but exceptionally robust. The deck and interior are finished in a beautiful mix of locally sourced timbers, including cherry, oak, and Douglas fir—making this a truly British-built boat, rich in character and craftsmanship.
