Our sister company Pure Boating has a selection of silent electric boats for self drive hire at two different mid Thames locations enabling you to enjoy the river flora and fauna of the Goring Gap between the Swan at Streatley and the Wallingford Boathouse pub where we have a total of 10 boats in operation. The Goring Gap is an area of outstanding natural beauty where the river meanders past meadows and beautiful houses just half an hour from Oxford and Reading or Henley-on-Thames. There is a train station at Goring within walking distance of our base at the Swan at Streatley. Come by train and claim your free baseball cap!

Coppa Club at the Swan at Streatley offer a delicious choice of picnics to book in advance and take on board. The Swan also celebrates fabulous weddings where you can entertain guests on a boat and arrive in style.

You can visit the Beetle and Wedge or The Leatherne Bottel (now Don Giovanni) by river and if you don't wish to drive yourself you can hire Ellie from the Beetle and Wedge, Wallingford Boathouse or the Swan at Streatley. Our beautiful canopied Edwardian replica launch Sapphire Rose is also available for parties of 2 to 8 from the Swan at Streatley and is perfect for weddings. Both locations offer rooms for the night as well as delicious food while the Boathouse Pub in Wallingford offers bar meals and a delightful riverside terrace opposite the lido and children's splash park.

From 2024 we are offering trips from the Swan at Streatley in conjunction with Beale Park Wildlife park so you can take a picnic and cruise downstream with a skipper for a full day out with the family.
